The Beginning

A Taste of Authentic Chai

The Chai Hut was born to bring the spirit of India's roadside chai stalls to Alberta—where freshly brewed chai in kulhad clay cups and hot-off-the-tawa street food bring people together over authentic desi flavours.

Every cup of our signature Karak Chai is brewed the traditional way, and our street food is made fresh daily—from Chole Bhature and Amritsari Nutri Kulcha to Paneer Tikka Wraps, Bihari Samosas and hand-rolled Aloo Parantha. It's the kind of authentic, made-with-care cooking that has made The Chai Hut a favourite with Calgary and Airdrie's chai lovers.

From our original Country Hills café in Northeast Calgary to our Main Street South location in Airdrie, The Chai Hut welcomes guests for dine-in, takeout, online ordering, and catering—open every day from 8 AM to 11 PM.

Inspired by India's roadside chai stalls, we brew every cup to order and make our street food fresh—served with the warmth of desi hospitality.
